Cleansing your Crystals You can cleanse your crystals by simply running them under a a tap or putting them in the sea or salted water. How To Use Your Wand Before you begin any kind of wand work, close your eyes, relax and release any negative emotions and thoughts, breathing deeply into your pelvic region. I like to use visualization, breathing white light down through the crown chakra, into the lower belly, allowing the light to spread throughout the body and beyond and on the out breath, release all blockages and restrictive energies with whatever color feels right. If I'm feeling particularly wound up I find relaxing the specific body parts, one by one works great. To do this I start at the feet and with the word 'relax' I instruct each part of the body to release any tension. I find that I hold a lot of stress in the jaw and face regions. Relax the mouth, the jaw, the scalp, the face (imagine your face is a thin pancake) and then the eyes. This process not only relaxes the physical body but also quietens the mind and is useful for insomnia too. Hold your wand between your hands and tune into the crystal energy. It may start to feel warm. Direct loving intent toward your wand and fill it with the light from your crown and emanating out your hands.
