Beeswax has a higher melt temperature than parafin and soy waxes and is NON-SMOKING, LONGER burning.  This candle contains 1 pound 8 ounces (24 ounces) of pure, buckwheat filtered beeswax. There are no artificial colors or fragrances. Even the wick is pure cotton square braid. It is approximately 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. Beeswax burns slowly with no smoking. It is naturally hypoallergenic, for many like me, who are fragrance sensitive.As with all candles, NEVER leave unattended when lit. This candle MUST be placed on a non flammable surface when lit as all candles must be for your safety. Beeswax candles impart a light sweet aroma even when not lit! Beeswax "blooms" as it ages. Bloom is a light white coating that naturally forms on the wax. When this happens, simply wipe with a soft cloth. The bloom is NOT a mold or fungus. It is the sugar left in the wax oxidizing with the air. Your candle will be just as crisp after 5 years as it was the day it was poured.
