I am not a jeweler so I don't know whether this is a freshwater or cultured pearl, but considering that I'd the ring for over 20 years and that the little pearl has not lost its luster or coating it sure has to be a genuine pearl of some sort. Pearl measures 4mm. A little history about this piece. I acquired this ring well over 20 years ago from the owner of Mi-World Supplies, one of the oldest running witchcraft and occult emporiums in the south florida area. They were in business for nearly 40 years till they sold the store a few years ago. The new owners named it Gens Curious and within about 2 years time a legacy of 40+ years disappeared into the sands of oblivion. Mi-World was also known for running a small but quite packed mail order catalog. They were also publishers of several dozen books under the pen names of Donna Rose and Seleneicthon. You can look up those names on Amazon. They were very similar in many ways to Magickal Childe from New York. The old man owner of the shop had this ring in the shop for as long as I can remember before I actually acquired it well over 20 years ago. He had his own silversmith and had a lot of rare pieces made exclusively for him. This was one of those pieces. I have never seen another one like it. The ring is quite heavy, weighting about 16 grams of pure sterling silver. If my eyesight does not fail me I believe it is stamped 925 inside, but the number is a little faded. The ring is a size 11. It's definitely a big and heavy ring for a man with big hands and big fingers. Any warlock, witch, occultist, magician, or sorcerer would be proud to wear and show a piece like this one around. When I bought it I bought it more on impulse than anything else. I have never been able to wear such a flashy extravagant ring like this one more than once or twice. The crow's head measures almost 40mm from the tip of the beak to the end tail. The ring band is almost 8mm thick in width. It's got an antique finish to it and lots, lots of detail on the crow's face. The beak is wide open and his long tongue is sticking out in a mean gesture. The ring is in perfect shape with with no visual imperfections of any kind. No dings, dents, scratches or scuffs. If anyone finds an identical ring online I will match their price and give you an additional 20% off, but I am pretty confident that you won't as this was a custom made piece. If you tried to have the same made now it will probably set you back $300-$500 and the jeweler won't let you keep the mold. I am not going to make any claims of supernatural powers like charlatans do nor claim that the ring is haunted. Lots of that crap going on around. In case you didn't know orbs can be very easily added to photos in photoshop. What I can assure you is that this ring has got a very strong vibe to it of power, protection and deterrence.
