Description
This is a GREAT DEAL on these hand crafted gongs from Nepal. The gong stands are hand carved and hand painted! The Gong itself is hand-etched! And we have hand marked down this gong and gong stand combo from 399 to 299 to 259 to 199! WHY? Because we bought too many. That simple. We thought we needed more protection that we did! So now you guys are lucky! Bring a fantastic Nepalese Gong from the Himalayas into your home! We call this the Chhepu the Protector Gong this gong from Nepal - because the Hindu Gong on the top of the stand is named Chhepu. If you need some protection in your home, office, or life, consider this gong! Who is Chhepu? A protector god. He eats Nagas, which are serpent-beings. The Malletheads at Gongs Unlimited says it is very good to clean out the serpent-beings from your aura, home, and office. They are not from this planet originally and like to keep humans and Earth in pain. Any serpent-beings you have around, get rid of them. Serpent-beings are different than snakes, by the way. Chhepu is a brother to Garuda who figures prominently in Hindu Legend. Chhepu was this brother who didn't know his own strength. He disappeared because he knew there was to be a bad time, the Kaliyuga, the great Yuga, when evil would triumph over good and so the world would be destroyed by Vishnu (in his incarnation as Kalki, the destroyer). Chhepu was not into being around for this, so he hid. Not only did he hide, he didn't even want to be born fully, and only came out with his head. But knowing his bravery, truthfulness and seeing all of Chhepu's prophetic marks, another Artist God tricked him into manifesting fully by drawing him. Due to his bravery and honesty,Chhepu was given the place at the top of the main entrance of the shrines for the protection from all the dangers.Measurements Gong - 9 to 10 inches diameter Stand -23 inches tall 19 inches wide at top, 15 inches wide bottom 8 inches deep Mallet - about 12 inches EMAIL US WITH QUESTIONS.
