They belonged to Mrs. Johnson, a good friend and client of Ms. Pei, who willed that they should be put out to the public 12 years after her death. Ms. Pei is helping to honor her wish. These platinum and diamond rings have an incredible history behind them and hold tremendous power. They’re not our usual item for putting on ebay but Ms. Pei feels that the one they are to go to may be found here. They were given to Mrs. J in 1949, before Ms. Pei had known her. Mr. and Mrs. J were childhood sweethearts.  He had wanted to marry her but could not save enough money to buy her a diamond ring. No matter how hard he worked, he just couldn’t make ends meet. To her, the ring mattered little as she loved him so much. She managed to convince him that she really didn't need a fancy ring, a silver band was just fine so they were wed without the rings the groom had wanted but he promised himself that someday he would get her the diamond rings she deserved.     It was tough for them financially for many years but their love carried them through the hard times. He wasn't a particulary religious man though he had been raised a Christian. It was after he suffered a serious accident that he went back to seek the God he had forgotten. He says he found himself thanking God for allowing him to live and giving him the love of the good woman who stayed by him all these years and through his recent troubles. These recent hard times also reminded him how he had never been able to get his wife the wedding ring he had promised. He now felt it was even more important that he fulfill his promise as he didn't want to die before doing so. Starting right then, he began praying every day for God to bring him the money he needed so he could buy his wife the ring worthy of her and so he could give her the type of life she deserved to live. After many months, he had a dream vision. In that vision, Jesus visited him and showed him these rings. He told him that they were diamonds and platinum and for him to give them to his wife. Jesus placed the rings in the man’s hand. He then closed the man’s fist around them and held the fist in both of his hands. The man felt a warm heat permeate his entire body. It was so comforting, he fell asleep. When he awoke, his memory of the dream began to come back to him. He remembered the rings. He opened his closed fist and there were these two rings, just as he had dreampt them. The man was shocked. Surely this had been a dream but then how could these rings have come to him? Was it really possible that he was visited by Jesus and given these?! Once this was done, he would soon find that 12 angel spirits would come to bind to the rings; angels that would look after him and all his loved ones for eternity. In 1958 he and his wife decided to take a world tour. Their tour lasted two years. The man had begun to prosper, this he attributed to God and to having a good woman by his side. It was on this tour that the premonitions he had had came true. The couple visited Rome when they first went to Europe and managed to see Pope Pius XII and were blessed by him. Mrs. J offered her hand to him and he kissed her wedding rings, these rings. The following year they returned to Rome, there was a new Pope, John XIII. The first day I actually sat with Moonn in meditation, shortly after she arrived, I sat opposite her on a low stool so that I could be at eye level with her and gaze into her face.
