Mystifying Oracle~Talking Board Set Found in Attic with Creepy Portrait! I have recently been cleaning out the attic of an old home with my sister.  This is a really creepy find, I found them together.  It is a vintage Quija board, but it was with a Victorian original charcoal portrait of a very evil looking child.  It is very weird.  While I don't believe in the occult, this set has almost converted me.  While listing this auction my mouse froze and then my e-bay page froze; I  had to re-boot my computer twice.  Also when I tried to change the title to the color yellow, it kept going back to black - it took three times to get it to stay the right color.  I have to say, it is strange.  If you like creepy, haunted type items this may be for you.   After a dusting off, here is what I discovered:  The Quija Board has its original box.  It is from the 1960s.  Printed on it is: Parker Brothers, Inc. ~  Salem, Mass. U.S.A.  QUIJA, Mystifying Oracle~Talking Board Set.   The Quija Board is wooden, the piece that goes with it is plastic.  Both in very good shape, including the box.  The triangle piece has a hole in it. . . I don't know if something was originally in that hole, I am unfamiliar with these sets. The Haunted Portrait is clearly Victorian.  It is an original charcoal on a thick artist cardboard. I have never seen a child look so unhappy, I think her eyes look haunted or evil and she is frowning.  Why would anyone draw a portrait like this?  It measures 20" x 15 1/2".  It is a little worn, but in fairly good antique condition.  There is a very slight warp but still displays well.  It will lay totally flat if framed.   With no rips or tears.   THIS IS A STRANGE DUO, but maybe you need a haunted display for Halloween or you are into the occult . . .
