This fine polished compass features all 12 zodiac signs: capricorn, aquarius, pisces, aries, taurus, gemini, cancer, leo, virgo, libra, scorpio, and sagittarius, all engraved along the outermost brass ring. The inner brass rings feature , degree demarcations, and the stamped phrase "F.L. WEST, A, Lock Spar, F.L. London" - a prestigious compass maker in London over a century ago. The three brass rings all rotate around one another, and can be positioned however you like for display or otherwise. The middle compass will tend towards level. Certainly a unique item, with multiple configurations, and a great conversation piece. The center compass has a black compass face, with cardinal directions , as well as a full 360 degree directional ring.
