Preowned LARGE Rutilated Quartz Pendant / Pendulum.  Marked 925.  We were told this is handmade and was purchased at a Rennaisance Faire at least 10 years ago.  At first we thought this was glass, but then we saw the fine strands of a goldish material in the stone. The purple stone may be Amethyst, but we can't be sure.  There is a small brass/goldish ball on the top of the pendant/pendulum that's situated in such a way that it's seen through a small metal circle if viewed directly from the front.  We're not sure what it means, but we're sure the artist meant to design it this way.  As for the stone: there are no inclusions and the color is clear from top to bottom.  As mineralologists know, any color zoning or inclusions diminish the price, so this is a very desirable stone.   You can see another example of this type of crystal (the only other one we found on Ebay) on item 140231768741, and ours is much larger, clearer and cleaner.  This piece is not for the faint hearted!!  You WILL be noticed when wearing it!  Simply beautiful! LOW starting price, as we've seen these go for much, much more! Somebody asked if there were nicks or chips in the wand itself.  We honestly had not noticed any at all until we went searching, and we had to put magnifiers on to see anything at all.  There's a tiny, tiny flea bite nick near the end of the wand at a junction of edges that's more noticeable by feeling than seeing.  We've added a picture of the nick and think it could possibly be filed down using an extremely fine file if the new owner wants to improve the look (we've done this with glass, porcelain and stone items in the past that we've purchased for our own use), but we recommend a jeweler/professional to do this. We feel this flea bite does not detract from the appearance of the piece, and that it really looks wonderful just the way it is, but of course bidders will have to judge for themselves.  Please do not pass this piece up simply because of this, it's so minor, and the piece is so beautiful and unique.
